This years holiday and our honeymoon we’ve spent in Bulgaria and to be precise in Sunny Beach, well known for it’s golden sands, hot sun and worm Black Sea. Wanna go there? Keep reading!
Bulgaria is a country in southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east.
Official currency is Lev BGN – if you need some You can use the exchange Transfer Wise.
Apart from Sofia which is Bulgarian Capitol, there are two well known cities – Varna and Burgas. If you’re going to Sunny Beach you will be flying to Burgas and then taking bus or renting a car for around 30 kilometer (18 miles) drive to your destination. When you get there don’t be surprised there are hotels everywhere – 600 of them, so you your room doesn’t have view on the sea and beach it will have view on other hotels 😉 Keep that in mind – better of just buying room with the right facing balcony.
Sunny Beach Weather.
If you’re going in the season which starts in March and ends in mid October you’ll have wonderful weather. Sun is always above and you need to be smart not to get burned. I suggest to go to he beach in afternoon coz by then the water will be much warmer than it is in the morning. And the morning you can spend by the swimming pool which every hotel has. At least one – our hotel had three. 🙂
I suggest to choose an option All Inclusive, not because of abundance of everything, but simply to save time. And drinks 😉
OK, here’s how it goes. You wake up, prepare and go to get breakfast. After that you can go to the beach for 2-3 hours and come back for lunch. After lunch it’s beach or swimming pool, then supper and let’s say – sightseeing. But like I said before there are only hotels, shops and night clubs.
Food, well it’s acceptable, nothing special.
I do recommend Bulgaria and Sunny Beach as a place to spend holidays. It’s sunny with worm Black Sea and many attractions like Jet ski or parachute flying.
